At the recently concluded 2026 "China Sports Lottery Cup" 14th Tour of Poyang Lake International Cycling Race, QUICK PRO TEAM not only defended its glory with breathtaking speed but also witnessed a perfect farewell filled with respect and warmth on the racecourse.
🏆 Solo Breakaway to Claim Victory in Anyuan
As a pivotal battleground of this year's race, Stage 2 (the Anyuan leg) covered 117.8 kilometers, finishing at the source of the Dongjiang River, Mount Sanbai. The final climb featured a grueling 9-kilometer steep ascent, a true test of endurance. Yet, Riccardo Luuca showcased explosive power and impeccable pacing, launching a decisive attack with 3 kilometers to go and riding solo to the finish. With outstanding stamina and an unyielding spirit, he crossed the line first to claim the Anyuan stage title and donned the iconic polka dot jersey as the King of the Mountains (KOM) leader!
Lucca went on to wear the KOM polka dot jersey for the next six consecutive stages.
🚲 Spinning Wheels in Tribute, A Legend Lives On
As the race drew to a close, the soon-to-retire Lucca received a moment of exclusive glory. During a solemn "Rider Honor Guard" ceremony, fellow riders lined up on both sides of the road, lifting their front wheels high and spinning them in unison. As the wheels turned, Lucca rode through this "Avenue of Honor," a path built on the passion and respect of his peers. This is the highest tribute in professional cycling for a rider bidding farewell to the sport.
